“We’re able to control schedules better and meet tight construction timelines without compromising quality,” Gibbs said. With markets bustling and labor shortages common, their in-house workforce provides stability where many contractors face uncertainty. “Having those in-house services really allows us to forego any of the shortcomings when it comes to finding labor out there in the workforce.”

A recent example is their work with Maranatha in Norton Shores. Pioneer was selected to build a new Tabernacle and bookstore under a tight schedule—from September through May. “They had a short construction window. They were looking for a high-quality product to be done in a very quick period,” Gibbs explained. The project required both speed and substantial manpower to ensure Maranatha’s services were not disrupted during their busy season.
